All big city around the world have the same problem …. public transportation (translate: macet in “Indonesia” ~_* )
Transportation planners face a number of problems “that require innovative solutions.” Large increases in urban population and pollution have seriously compromised existing transportation systems and significantly increased the challenge of creating future transportation systems. And “despite extensive spending on urban transportation systems,” the problems “seem to only get worse.”
the complex urban transportation problems in developing countries “are triggered by certain trends,” all of them interrelated.Growth in population naturally causes growth in car ownership, and while “car ownership levels [in the developing countries] are far lower than the developed countries at present, . . . it is in these developing countries that the greatest growth rate[s] in motor vehicles have been seen in the past few years and are expected in the future,” primarily in urban areas. The mobility and afford ability advantages of these vehicles are diminished by their pollution disadvantages, notably high levels of “carbon monoxide and unburnt hydrocarbon emissions.”
The environmental and social impacts of these trends are significant “because they are directly related to quality of life and urban productivity.” These impacts include congestion, energy consumption, air pollution, and traffic crashes. The transportation sector is the most rapidly growing source of greenhouse gas emissions– that is, emissions of chemicals that have the potential to contribute to global warming.
Many solutions tried by many country to solved this problem. for example, in my lovely city, Jakarta, It built many new busway routes, and there will be a Monorail (hopefully) this year ^_~.

Traffic jam is an annoying problem in big cities…
I think mass transportation system (such as monorail) would be a good solution..it’s fast and dedicated..(hopefully) will have determined depart & arrival schedule..:D.No time will be wasted on the way..
Well my personal idea about how to solve traffic jam is : “a public transporting super highway”..hahahahaha..
In this highway you will be transported from one point to another..it’s the highway that transporting the vehicle instead of the vehicle using the highway..
just a crazy idea…
~ actually this is inspired by the Movie “Minority Report” ^_^

how ’bout the “lightning transportation”,
where we can be decomposed into the light atom, put it on the light carrier and send to the destination…..
when we arrived there, we will be recomposed into the original form of our body
is it an another crazy idea too ??

Great Idea, but we know there is always a possibility of error, bro..nothing is perfect..I don’t want any misplaced body parts during the recomposition process..that would be very very creepy..:(.

but a light speed transportation would be nice..
we can even travel through the outer space with that..
